Two CASIOPEA albums ("Light and Shadows" and "MATERIAL") will be released on vinyl for the first time! "Light and Shadows" will be released as a double LP set on clear lime yellow and clear sky blue vinyl. "Material" is available on clear orange and translucent vinyl.

"Light and Shadows" was released on CD in 1997 and features the original members Issei Noro (Gt), Yoshihiro Naruse (Ba), and Minoru Mukaiya (Key), as well as the return of Akira Jimbo (Dr), who had left the band in 1989, as a support musician. Furthermore, legendary drummer Harvey Mason (Dr) also participated in some of the tracks. The album includes popular songs that are still performed at live shows today, such as "GOLDEN WAVES" and "THE TEASE," which was composed by Harvey Mason.

Furthermore, "MATERIAL," released on CD in 1999 to mark their 20th anniversary, features Akira Jimbo providing support on all tracks, and includes a dazzling horn section with Futoshi Kobayashi (Tr) and Takahiro Kaneko (T.sax). This album also includes staples that are still performed live today, such as "FREAK JACK" and "THE NIGHT IN BLUE," as well as "TWINKLE VISIONS," which was the ending theme for NHK General's "Sunday Sports."
The master cutting for both albums was handled by the renowned master engineer, Toru Kotetsu. We encourage you to enjoy these classic albums, revived on high-quality clear color vinyl, in analog format.

CASIOPEA is a fusion band formed in 1977 by Issei Noro (guitar), Minoru Mukaiya (keyboards), Tetsuo Sakurai (bass), and Takashi Sasaki (drums). They debuted in 1979 with the album "CASIOPEA." They are a leading band in the Japanese fusion music scene. Their approachable melodies and technically sophisticated rhythmic arrangements have attracted many listeners, and they have fans not only in Japan but all over the world. After a hiatus from 2006, they resumed activities in 2012 as CASIOPEA 3rd. Despite member changes, they performed as CASIOPEA-P4 from 2022 to 2024. From 2025, they reverted to their original name, CASIOPEA, and are continuing to develop their sound.
