Originally released on CD in 1991, the two albums HOUSE MIX I and HOUSE MIX II—produced by Soichi Terada, founder of the pioneering Japanese dance music label FAR EAST RECORDINGS, now highly re-evaluated overseas—are finally making their long-awaited debut on analog vinyl.
Soichi Terada’s timeless, genre-transcending sensibility combined with Akiko Kanazawa’s vivid, masterful vocal delivery creates an epoch-making work that opens new horizons in dance music. These albums stand as truly historic recordings.
The previously released 7-inch single “Akita Daikokumai / Akita Ondo” has already made a strong impact, reaching No.1 on HMV Record Shop’s sales ranking and overall pre-order chart (24-hour total), as well as No.1 on Disk Union’s Club/Dance pre-order chart (as of Jan. 16).
