AKIRA REMIX - GEINOH YAMASHIROGUMI
One of the most iconic Japanese SF animation film, "AKIRA" debuted in 1988 and immediately made a huge impact on the anime culture. Katsuhiro Otomo, who is the originator of AKIRA, created the imaginary world of violence and collapse in "Neo-Tokyo" where the young dudes and the psychic are surviving in the aftermath of World War III.
The soundtrack was paramount in expressing AKIRA's world and has been regarded as a beautiful piece of art. Now it is remixed by three Japanese artists: Makoto Kubota, Yasuharu Konishi, and Kuniaki Haishima. These artists have been well-known as innovative music creators for many years in different genres.
