Heart of Ice is a large‑scale orchestral work composed by Nobuo Uematsu specifically for the concert hall. Performed by the world‑leading London Symphony Orchestra, it will be released on the prestigious Decca label. Known for timeless melodies from the Final Fantasy series and many other classics, Uematsu once again delivers music filled with warmth, emotion, and narrative depth.
Maregnon is a "fictional soundtrack" project—a symphonic fantasy series created with international collaborators under producer and artistic director Thomas Böcker, Uematsu's partner for over two decades. Presented worldwide as a concert experience that blends orchestral music with storytelling, the project aims to introduce a new form of musical narrative to future audiences.
Uematsu’s Heart of Ice is a "symphonic fairy tale" based on an original story by children's author Frauke Angel, told through music and narration. The English narration is performed by Academy Award–winning actress Alicia Vikander. Each character is represented by an instrument and its own leitmotif, creating a story‑driven musical world that will feel instantly familiar to RPG fans.
